Last month, Jennifer Gates, the eldest child of the tech billionaire and philanthropist, and her spouse Nayel Nassar welcomed a newborn. The new parents announced the joyful news on social media and shared their delight with the world.
The grandparents were ecstatic and shared pictures of their first grandchild on Instagram. Bill Gates uploaded a photo of himself wearing a naval blue sweatshirt and trousers and playingfully stroking his granddaughter’s tiny digits. The infant was wearing a pink bodysuit, and the proud grandfather captioned the photo: “I can’t wait to watch you discover the universe.”

Jennifer Gates married the Egyptian equestrian Nayel Nassar at her residence in Westchester, New York, in 2021. In a blog post from the previous year, Bill Gates explained that the news of his daughter’s pregnancy had given him a new perspective on his work. “When I consider the world into which my grandchild will be born, I am more motivated than ever to ensure that every child and grandchild has an opportunity to survive and flourish,” he said.
