Alden Richards and Xian Lim will serve as the evening’s primary presenters, while Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne and Tim Yap will serve as backstage hosts.

New laws and programs
As of the 72nd edition of the pageant, aspiring beauty queens of any civil status – including those who are married and have children – are permitted to compete. This will be the first time that mothers will participate in the competition.
Mary Eileen Gonzales of Quezon City, one of the three mothers of the contestants, stated that she informed the Miss Universe PH organization in 2019 that “maybe one day they would allow us to be here.”
“I believe I brought this about. And here I am today, so pleased of myself. “I cannot wait for my son to tell his friends that’my mommy is a Miss Universe Philippines candidate,'” she added.
The new guidelines are consistent with the organization’s aim of empowering women, as well as its vision for diversity and inclusiveness in the pageant industry.
The MUPH then announced a new Accredited Partners Program, through which it will endeavor to form partnerships with ambassadors from across the nation who share its vision. The new program will assist the organization in expanding its reach by “promoting the pageant, organizing local events, and selecting candidates in their respective areas.”
This will alter next year’s delegate selection procedure, making it more “streamlined and efficient.” The accredited partners will select candidates from their respective fields, providing MUPH with access to a “larger and more diverse pool of prospective candidates.” Through MUPH’s website, interested individuals and organizations can register to become an accredited partner.
It constitutes a ‘lifestyle’
The MUPH also announced that the “Miss Universe Philippines” name is presently undergoing a transition to become a “lifestyle brand,” replicating “the pageant lifestyle of an empowered woman.”
The house brand with the same name as the franchise intends to “deliver the Miss Universe experience to Filipinos nationwide” via an apparel line created in collaboration with co-presenter Smilee Apparel. The collection will include apparel, accessories, cosmetics, and personal care products with timeless designs intended to “elevate a woman’s wardrobe.”
This action is also intended to support the organization’s mission to promote “Filipino ingenuity” by emphasizing local industries, collaborating with regional communities, and empowering our countrymen to engage in commerce. Through licensing, MUPH will collaborate with reputable brands to create co-branded products and official merchandise.
This quarter, the Miss Universe PH brand is scheduled to launch. The merchandise is available for purchase at the Smilee Apparel Centre in Manila, as well as through authorized retailers and online.
