Action comedy ‘The Killer’s Game’ stars Dave Bautista 2023
The forthcoming Lionsgate action comedy ”The Killer’s Game” will star Hollywood actor Dave Bautista.
According to the entertainment news source Deadline, the studio has acquired the worldwide rights to the project, which will be directed by JJ Perry (”Day Shift”).
Based on Jay Bonansinga’s novel of the same name, ”The Killer’s Game” follows veteran assassin Joe Flood (Bautista), who is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and decides to kill himself in order to prevent the agony that is inevitably to follow.
After ordering the murder, he discovers he was misdiagnosed and must then fend off an armada of former coworkers who are attempting to murder him.
The film was written by Rand Ravich and Simon Kinberg, with James Coyne handling recent rewrites.
Andrew Lazar from Mad Chance, Steve Richards for Endurance Media, and Kia Jam will produce the initiative.
Bautista, Jonathan Meisner, and Scott Lambert will serve as executive producers for Dogbone Entertainment, with Jake Katofsky and Vanessa Humphrey serving as co-producers.
Bautista most recently reprised his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) portrayal of Drax in ”Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”, the series’ conclusion.
He also appeared in M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller “Knock at the Cabin” and Rian Johnson’s ”Knives Out” sequel “Glass Onion” for Netflix.
The actor is presently anticipating the release of ”Dune: Part Two” by Denis Villeneuve, in which he reprises the role of Glossu Rabban Harkonnen.
