I believe that it is of tremendous significance to get a testimonial from individuals who are close to you, such as friends or family, or those who have had a treatment done by a doctor.

How should one go about finding a reputable medical practitioner?

We were surprised to find that it was a really well-equipped hospital, but it turned out to be that way. The staff responded to my requests really quickly and were quite kind.

I have been to a few of the very large hospitals, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this hospital is on par with them in every way.

Because of the rapid pace at which medical science is advancing, an increasing number of physicians—who are often competitive by their very nature—are considering pursuing superspecialization. These classes take up more than fifty percent of many physicians’ working lives.

Another concern that has lately been added to the misery of physicians is the bond that is required in the majority of government medical schools. Also, this should be done after each course. Imagine a doctor finishes his superspecialization with all of the bonds; at this point in his life, he will probably be in his forties and have no more than 20 years left to live.

In addition, the remuneration is pitiful both during residence and during bonds. Imagine not being able to support yourself financially and working until you were 40 years old while having a good level of education but getting a pitiful pay.

The quality of education has significantly declined as a result of the proliferation of institutions, particularly those catering to advanced students. The majority of state medical schools that offer superspecialty programs do not have the necessary infrastructure or resources to teach residents in their respective specialties. For instance, the institution from where I am earning my Doctorate of Medical Oncology (DM Oncology) does not have a bone marrow transplant set up, immunotherapy and targeted treatment, molecular laboratories, specialized USG, or many of the other things that are required for the Oncology course curriculum. What repercussions does it have for me? In order to acquire this knowledge, I will need to get a job in an establishment that provides access to the aforementioned resources and put in additional time working there.

Also, in the past, physicians would sometimes create their own little nursing facilities, which would mostly cater to families from the middle class. Yet, a significant number of such smaller hospitals have closed down in recent years due to the proliferation of large hospitals controlled by corporations.

If you want to become a doctor in India, you should either be highly intelligent and motivated to clear prestigious institutes like AIIMS /PGI,etc., or you should come from a wealthy family background so that the financial burden doesn’t affect you until late in life. In my opinion, if you want to become a doctor in India, you should do one of two things.
