NCT’s three subgroups perform in Korea, Japan 2023
Their management company, SM Entertainment, made the announcement on Wednesday that all three sub-groups of the boy band NCT will be touring together in stadiums for the first time in Korea and Japan.
The members of NCT, who make up the band as a whole, are split up into three different subgroups: NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV. Album releases and other events involving the group are typically handled by each sub-group individually.
The Incheon Munhak Stadium in Incheon will serve as the venue for the first performance of the event on August 26. This will be followed by shows at the Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka on September 9 and 10, as well as shows at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo on September 16 and 17.
The three subgroups of NCT will perform together in Korea and Japan.
The three subgroups will be performing together in a live setting for the very first time during the concert. Back in the year 2020, they hosted a concert called “NCT: Resonance” online.
The tour will comprise performances by individual sub-groups, performances by NCT U, as well as performances in which all NCT members will take part. The tour will be centered around the concept of a “performance that everyone can enjoy, inside NCT’s world.”
WayV is the sub-unit of the band that focuses on performing in Chinese regions, whereas NCT 127, which derives its name from the longitude of Seoul, is the sub-group of the band that is located in Seoul. NCT Dream is comprised of seven of the boy band’s youngest members, whereas NCT U is the sub-unit of the boy band that features interchangeable member compositions.
There has been no word on whether or not the band’s intended last sub-group that is located in Japan, NCT Tokyo, would participate in the next tour.
On May 24, SM Entertainment made the announcement that Sungchan and Shotaro will be departing NCT to become members of a new boy band that will be formed by the agency and will make their debut this year.
