On July 10th, ZeroBaseOne will unleash his first solo effort 2023
Mnet’s newest boy band project ZeroBaseOne, popularly known as ZB1, will make its debut with the EP “Youth in the Shade” on July 10, according to the announcement made by Wake One Entertainment on Wednesday.
During the boy band’s appearance at KCON Japan 2023 in May, a video was used for the first time to provide hints about the title of their forthcoming debut EP.
“Boys Planet,” an audition show hosted by the cable network Mnet, was responsible for the formation of the nine-member project group known as ZeroBaseOne.
ZeroBaseOne debuts solo July 10.
Starting on July 10, the nine members will run for two and a half years under Wake One Entertainment, which is a subsidiary of CJ ENM. They are Zhang Hao, Sung Han-bin, Seok Matthew, Ricky, Park Gun-wook, Kim Tae-rae, Kim Gyu-vin, and Kim Ji-woong. Han Yu-jin is the ninth member.
The name of the band, ZeroBaseOne, is supposed to be a reference to the “splendid beginning of the nine members starting from zero, who comes into one group,” as stated by the agency.
“Boys Planet,” a successor to Mnet’s 2021 female group audition program “Girls Planet 999” (2021), began running on February 2, and a total of 12 episodes were broadcast throughout the course of the show’s run. During the course of the voyage, which lasted for a total of 12 weeks, there were a total of 98 participants who participated in various group challenges before being eliminated one by one.
“Boys Planet” received submissions from over 200 agencies in over 80 different countries across the world. These applications were then divided into two groups, each consisting of 49 participants and named the “K Group” and “G Group,” respectively.
