Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello split, source says 2023
“Shawn and Camila have broken up and are no longer seeing each other,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “They gave it a shot, but the timing just isn’t right for either of them. They are both occupied with their own activities.”
The exes prompted reconciliation rumors after being spotted engaging in PDA at the April 2023 Coachella Music Festival in California. After more than two years of dating, the Seorita performers split up in November 2021.
Previously, a source told ET that the couple “is not officially back together, but they are enjoying each other’s company and waiting to see what happens.”
In videos that surfaced from the concert, Mendes, 24, and Cabello, 26, can be seen conversing and drinking with their companions. In addition, they were seen kissing in one footage.
Multiple PDA-filled excursions followed, including Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert held outside of New York City last month. According to videos that surfaced, the two could not keep their hands off each other as they relished the performance and even made out.
The second breakup was announced after the There’s Nothing Holding Me Back singer discussed his newly-released surprise single, What the Hell Are We Dying For? In an interview on Apple Music with Zane Lowe 1.
Last year, he revealed he “struggled tremendously” in the studio to “find my voice and musical identity.” He explained that he needed ‘courage just to be in the room with writers or to step into the booth and perform.’
Mendes, 24, revealed that he was “feeling a lot of things about relationships, my career, and the environment” in upstate New York. And in a’moment of just profound frustration’ in the studio, he discovered ‘inspiration.’
