TYLER HUBBARD EXCITED FOR FIRST SOLO SHOW 2023
Tyler Hubbard is no stranger to award show appearances, having been on several occasions as a member of the record-setting country duet Florida Georgia Line. But, when he performs at the 2023 CMT Awards on Sunday, it will be his first time as a solo artist on an awards show stage.
He is more than up to the task.
Wednesday in Austin, Texas, Hubbard stated, “It feels amazing.” “It’s incredible to be here. I’m thrilled to sing “Dancin’ in the Country” and to perform in front of a live audience.”
CBS will broadcast the 2023 CMT Music Awards live from Austin’s Moody Center on Sunday, April 2nd (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT).
This year, Hubbard published his 18-track first solo album. This album contains his top-charting single “5 Foot 9” and his current tune “Dancin’ In The Country,” which he will perform on Sunday’s CMT Music Awards.
“Dancin’ in the Country” is a delightful song, as stated by Hubbard.
It’s good to add some lightheartedness to a performance like this after a very difficult week.”
Hubbard stated that if CMT MUSIC AWARDS viewers respond as enthusiastically to the song as his live crowd, the evening would begin “on the right note.”
“It’s been a fantastic year putting my feet back on the ground, travelling, doing some gigs, and being comfortable as a solo artist,” stated Hubbard. “Seeing how the fans have responded to the new music, how they’ve connected with it, and how they’ve shown up and sang these songs has been incredibly inspiring, and I’m more motivated than ever this year.”
Hubbard stated that he is already composing new songs and that the last year has spurred his creativity.
“Last year was fantastic, and I’m eager to do even more gigs this year,” he remarked.
