Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, refuted rumors that his son was ‘trolling’ Kanye West by sampling Kim Kardashian’s vocal on his new song ‘Rescue Me’
Drake played a sample of “Rescue Me” during an episode of Sound 42’s The Fry Yiy Show on SiriusXM Radio, in which Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner discuss Kim’s emotional condition during her divorce from Kanye.
Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, disputed that his son was “trolling” Kanye West by sampling Kim Kardashian’s voice on his new tune.
Dennis Graham clarified on Instagram that there was no animosity between the two artists, despite fan suspicions that Drake was attempting to provoke Kanye with the sample. He wrote, “Drake is not mocking anyone; it’s just a tune.” Why attempt to start a feud between Kanye and Drake again????????????
The excerpt was taken from the season finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians in 2021, which detailed the dissolution of Kim and Kanye’s seven-year marriage. In February 2021, the reality star applied for divorce, citing “differences in lifestyle and politics” as the cause for their separation.
Drake raps in “Rescue Me” about the qualities he desires in an ideal companion, including patience, trust, honesty, and ambition. However, fame is not required in order to date the 6 Deity. He says, “I don’t believe I encounter ’em where I am,/ But I think about you all day, mama.”
Drake and Kanye have had a tumultuous relationship, with the two artists engaging in a dispute that threatened to boil over in the lead-up to the release of their respective albums, Certified Lover Boy and Donda. However, the two reconciled for the December 2021 “Free Larry Hoover” benefit concert
Drake implied that he reunited with Kanye as a favor to Rap-A-Lot Records creator J. Prince, which reignited their feud momentarily last year. Kanye West responded on Twitter: “I have already given this individual his flowers numerous times. Let’s see who the true operatives are in this music game.”
Fans will have to appreciate “Rescue Me” for what it is: a laid-back, piano-laced song about finding love, as there appears to be no new beef developing between Drake and Kanye at this time.
