After Meghan Markle “tasted egg,” Queen Elizabeth II chastised her 2023

A Royal author asserts that in 2018, Queen Elizabeth II reprimanded Meghan Markle for making a sarcastic remark about the cuisine she prepared while dining at Windsor Castle.

The remark and ensuing reprimand occurred in May 2018, just before the Princess of Sussex was scheduled to marry Prince Harry, according to author Katie Nicholl.

Meghan allegedly became “extremely upset” while taste-testing some of the food that was to be served at the reception after claiming she “felt egg” in one of the dishes.

Nicholl told Yahoo’s Royal Box at the time that the Duchess of Sussex was informed that there was no egg in her meal, but she is believed to have responded, “No, I can taste it.”

Nicholl wrote: “Meghan became very upset when she tasted egg in a dish when she was told there was no egg in it; she responded, ‘No, I can taste it; I can taste egg in this dish.'”

Queen Elizabeth II then entered the chamber and “quietly took Meghan to the side”

Nicholl stated that the late Queen allegedly told Meghan that “the Royal Family does not speak to people in that manner.”

She stated, “I believe there was a bit of a stir when the Queen walked in because, of course, this was Windsor Castle, her home.”

“And she simply took Meghan aside and whispered, ‘Meghan, in this family we do not speak to others in that manner.'”

Jason Knauf, the Duchess of Sussex’s former communications secretary, is said to have raised allegations of abuse against the Duchess of Sussex. As a result, rumors of the Princess of Sussex’s brusque demeanor toward employees came to the forefront.

Meghan and her representatives have consistently denied all such allegations, previously describing them as “a calculated smear campaign based on harmful misinformation.”

In response to the allegations, a spokesperson for Meghan stated at the time, “Let’s call this what it is: a calculated smear campaign founded on misleading and detrimental misinformation. We are dismayed that a media outlet has given credence to this defamatory portrayal of the Duchess of Sussex.”

Meghan recently disclosed that she will not attend King Charles’ coronation on May 6, despite the fact that her spouse, Prince Harry, will be in attendance despite their deteriorating relationship with the rest of the Royal Family.
