Johnny Depp injures ankle before Hollywood Vampires event 2023
The actor and his band Hollywood Vampires announced on Instagram that Johnny Depp has incurred a ”painful” ankle injury.
In a statement posted to his Instagram Stories, Depp said he has been advised to refrain from ”all activity” for the time being.
“It began as a hairline fracture, but between Cannes and Royal Albert Hall, it worsened instead of improving. Several medical personnel have advised me to refrain from all physical activity for the time being, and as a result, I am unable to travel at this time,” the actor and musician wrote.

He is devastated by this turn of events, but is looking forward to healing up so that all four vampires can perform at their utmost best on the European tour,” according to the statement.
The originally scheduled performances for May 30, May 31, and June 1 have been moved to July 28, 29, and 30. The band will perform in Boston, Manchester, and Bethel, New York.
The news comes after Depp attended the 2023 Cannes Film Festival to promote his upcoming film ”Jeanne du Barry,” his first feature film since winning a high-profile defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard.
