On stage at The O2, Hans Zimmer pops the question 2023
Thursday night (06.15.23) during Hans Zimmer’s concert at The O2 in London, his companion proposed to him in front of his admirers.
The 65-year-old film composer astonished his fiancée, who was in the audience, by interrupting his ‘Hans Zimmer Live’ performance to invite her onstage.
Hans quipped that he had forgotten why he had asked her to join him, after jokingly inquiring, “Did you check to make sure the door was locked?” and other inquiries. Then he inquired, “Will you marry me?”
The couple then embraced, and the entire audience stood to applaud the engaged couple.
Lisa Gerrard, an Australian musician and vocalist, was one of the first members of Hans’ orchestra to congratulate her.
Nigel Adams, owner of the business advisory firm Ad Valorem, was present at the engagement.
“It was a magical moment on a magical night,” he said. One could envision seeing a similar proposition in one of Hans’s films.”
The award-winning musician has composed music for more than 150 films, including “The Dark Knight” trilogy, “Dunkirk,” and “The Lion King.”
Hans, who has collaborated with some of the film industry’s most renowned directors, including Sir Ridley Scott, Ron Howard, and Christopher Nolan, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2010.
Hans was previously married to the model Vicki Carolin and Suzanne Zimmer.
In 2020, the composer filed for divorce from Suzanne at the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
The former couple has three children together, and he also has a daughter named Zoe from a previous marriage.
