Snyder Teases Darkseid Announcement “Full Circle” 2023

The director of Batman v. Superman and Justice League, Zack Snyder, has hinted that a “full circle” Darkseid statement will be made next month.

In an extremely mysterious tweet (below), the filmmaker revealed a small clip of an “incoming communication from Lord Darkseid” due between April 28 and 30.

With such little information, it is quite difficult to determine what this signifies. Given that James Gunn and Peter Safran just disclosed their Chapter 1 ideas for the new DCU and omitted Darkseid, it is doubtful that there will be a cinematic adaptation.

Darkseid was the primary antagonist in Batman v Superman; however, other characters such as Shazam, Black Adam, and Wonder Woman exist inside the present DCEU. The “full circle” phrase also alludes to a return to the beginning of the DCEU, which Snyder’s Man of Steel kicked off.

In spite of this, the current heads of DC Studios are determined to move on from these films, with Ezra Miller’s Flash film vowing to reboot the whole DC Cinematic Universe.

Snyder’s status in the new DCU remains unknown, however, DC Comics chief creative officer Kim Lee stated in July 2017 that Justice League: The Snyder Cut will likely be the director’s last contribution to the franchise.
