Carter’s autopsy results were released earlier this month by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner, who ruled his death as accidental and revealed the late star drowned in his bathtub after taking a lethal combination of difluoroethane (the gas used in cans of compressed air) and alprazolam (the generic form of Xanax). The coroner also ruled that Carter’s death was an accident.

Martin, who shares custody of their son Prince Lyric with Carter, stated that she was unable to make sense of the findings of the autopsy. She issued a statement to TMZ shortly after the news was made public in which she stated that the results provided “not closure” and that they left her with “more questions.”
