‘Ella Baila Sola’ Tops Hot Latin Songs Chart: We Were Surprised by the Song’s Volume 2023

“Ella Baila Sola,” Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma’s debut collaboration, tops Billboard’s Hot Latin Singles chart (rising 2-1 on the April 15-dated list). The song debuted at No. 1 on Latin Streaming Songs and garnered both artists career-highs on Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Latin Songs charts (dated April 1) until today.

The collaboration is No. 1 after three weeks.

“We didn’t anticipate the song’s volume!” Eslabon lead vocalist Pedro Tovar tells Billboard. “I enjoyed the song when I created it, but I didn’t anticipate it to be that successful. I previewed it on my Instagram stories and two days after it went viral on TikTok, I knew the song would perform well.”

“Ella Baila Sola” dethrones Karol G and Shakira’s “TQG” after five weeks with a 2-1 boost. It’s Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma’s first leader after debuting at No. 2 on Top Latin Singles (chart dated April 1).

“Normally I don’t anticipate songs to chart,” Peso Pluma tells Billboard. “It’s a terrific tune, and we liked the process.”

Luminate reports 19 million official U.S. streams in the tracking week ended April 6, up 22%, propelling “Ella Baila” to No. 1. The statistic lifts the overall Streaming Songs chart 12-6 and keeps Latin Streaming Songs at the top for a third week.

Tovar says Peso Pluma was one of his greatest collaborations. “He’s humble and laidback, and we get along in the studio. At his Ontario event, everyone sang the tune. He helped us both by joining the song.

“I admire all my artists!” Pluma goes. “I wanted to work with them and other great artists I admired.”

Latin Digital Song Sales rose 7-5 with 1,000 downloads of “Ella Baila.” Both performers reach their highest Hot 100 positions with the single, which peaks at No. 17.

“Ella” rises 11-9 on Global 200 with 67 million streams and 10-8 on Global Excl. U.S. with 46 million clicks.

Peso Pluma has five songs on Top Latin Songs as “PRC” with Natanael Cano rises 11-7. He tied with Karol G on the March 11 ranking with five top 10s. Bad Bunny has the most consecutive top 10 songs: 6, 7, 8, and 9.
