Update on WWE’s Becky Lynch-Trish Stratus Schedule 2023
According to Dave Meltzer on the most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Trish and Becky are scheduled to face off at this year’s SummerSlam on August 5.
After the events of this week’s Raw, many speculated that this match could be scheduled for WrestleMania Backlash at the end of the month or even in Saudi Arabia at King & Queen of the Ring on May 27. Instead, this report describes how Stratus and Lynch will not engage in combat until four months from now.
When Trish Stratus attacked Becky Lynch on Wednesday night
In case you missed it, the WWE Hall of Famer attacked the Man last night after they lost the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Lita, who shared the Women’s Tag Team Championships with Becky, was assaulted backstage earlier in the evening by an unknown assailant.
As a consequence, Trish filled in for Lita as she and Lynch defended their respective championships against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. The Women’s Tag Titles changed hands as a result of Morgan’s pinfall victory over the Canadian in this match.
Earlier this month, Trish teamed with Lita and Becky Lynch to defeat Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 39. This was Trish Stratus’ first in-ring appearance since losing to Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2019.
