Wrong way driver crashes into truck owned by City of Oakland

According to the California Highway Patrol, a driver headed the wrong way was trying to crash into other vehicles.

There was a crash at 7 a.m. There is a street near Seminary Road. The driver of the Ford F 150 was going east on I 580. The highway patrol doesn’t know where the truck entered the freeway.

The Ford F 250 was owned by the City of Oakland and witnesses said the driver was trying to crash into other vehicles. Major injuries were suffered by the driver of the F 150 and minor injuries by the driver of the f 250. The drivers were taken to a hospital.

The lanes were closed for over an hour as traffic backed up. After the crash traffic was diverted to Seminary Road.

There were two fatal crashes in the Bay Area on Saturday. There was a wrong way collision on Highway 101 in Marin County.
